We sat down with our stellar agent Lisa Young for a little Q&A. Where were you born & raised? I was born in Michigan in Grand Rapids and raised in Minneapolis. What drew you to real estate? I was at a place in my life that I wanted to invest in real estate. Once I got my license I was really inspired and loved working with buyers and sellers especially helping people find their dream home. Ever since I was little I loved going to open houses as well. What was the first house you sold? A split-level in Minnesota. What do you like about Los Angeles? The weather, of course. I like the whole vibe in general. I love my little lunch spots and local bars. I also like being around the industry and all of the old architecture and history. The diversity and just plain wackiness is great too. What do you like about working at RARE Properties? Coming from Minnesota, my business has always been rooted in ethics. I felt right at home withTom and Kennon who conduct business in such a professional and ethical manner. The support that the team provides is amazing. RARE Properties is not just a business to me, it’s family. There is definitely a camaraderie I enjoy. I feel extremely honored to a part of this team, and I would not trade this experience for the world. What do you do in your spare time? I’m usually going to lunch or happy hour with my boyfriend or friends. I’m a sucker for a good happy hour. I really like my “chill” time. If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one thing with you, what would you bring? My bible.
